Working independently or in alliance with Lions Gate Consulting, services range from research-based tourism plans for communities or regions in BC to implementation planning. Lions Gate Consulting provides economic impact analysis and development expertise, while Simone specializes in marketing, tourism management and capacity building for destination marketing/management organizations. Developing tourism plans for communities includes all aspects of tourism planning: infrastructure, product development, industry programs and resources, research analysis and recommendations, visitor services, marketing, tourism management, organizational capacity building and mentorship.
For projects, Simone assembles a team of specialists including a creative director, copywriter, editor, photographer, geographic information system (GIS) mapping specialist, website software developer and a digital marketing firm to produce a variety of tourism and economic development marketing communications materials. Project management services range from concept to completion and include branding, visitor guides, brochures, maps, content-management system (CMS) websites, merchandising, signage, display booth equipment, presentation folders, press kits, image banks, digital assets management systems, and advertising design.
Workshops include a variety of topics on the development of community tourism and destination marketing, they are tailored to the needs of the client. Simone delivered the Ads and Brochures That Sell workshop for Tourism BC. She developed and instructed the Development of Community Tourism course for British Columbia Institute of Technology’s Tourism Marketing Management, School of Business diploma program.
